Liberation Route

Discover the history of our region and experience a special 53.3-kilometer liberation route, suitable for motorcycles, cars, and bicycles. The Liberation Route leads you past various World War II monuments, where impressive stories of resistance, plane crashes, and other extraordinary events come to life.

The route can be downloaded for free via this page. For a more complete experience, you can purchase an information booklet at our museum ticket desk for €7.50. This booklet contains extensive background stories and a QR code for the guided Google Maps route. Upon purchase, you will also receive one drink of your choice (excluding specialty beers).

One booklet per group is sufficient. Please note: one drink is included with each booklet; additional drinks must be paid for separately.

The route itself is accessible and can be followed by everyone. However, the information booklet offers extra depth and makes the experience even more valuable—highly recommended for those who wish to discover the stories behind the locations and monuments.

Please note: the price of the booklet does not include admission to the museum. Regular admission prices apply for museum visits.
